Introduction
E-Van – Development of electric city van and its electric drivetrain supported by solar energy
The main goal of the project is a 2,5 t total mass electric van with a newly developed motor and controller, motor drive system supplied by an on board solar cell charger. During the project is aimed to built a vehicle on the base of an existing van, to test it in the traffic and to analise it sustainability. This project is the first part of the development of a transportation system which contains other future vehicles using renewable energy. The developed motor is an inductive sinus wave controlled BLDC type machine controlled by a newly developed high power and high current amplifier. The amplifier-controller unit is developed to run an optimised electric drive train using the individual electric motor.
